Chemicals Northwest Elements magazine Autumn 2023

The FOREST project has been featured in the Chemicals Northwest Elements magazine Autumn Edition, thanks to our incredible partner from BITREZ, Wendy Howarth, who authored the article “Northwest entrepreneur with a quest to assist in reducing petrochemical reliance attracts some Royal attention”.

In the article, you'll discover how Paul H. Jones, Managing Director of Anacarda Ltd and Bitrez Ltd, has not only secured the Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation but also received the inaugural King's Award for Enterprise 2023 for his groundbreaking work in specialty polymer manufacturing. Paul's patented technology, known as Furalkamine, extends product lifespans and contributes to environmental improvement. The King himself welcomed the award recipients, including Paul, to Buckingham Palace, where they were joined by The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

Paul's vision extends beyond patents and awards, as he is an esteemed member of the FOREST consortium. "We are pushing boundaries with disruptive bio-based polymers," Paul remarks, reflecting the project's alignment with EU 2030 Climate and Energy challenges. He aims to form clusters with like-minded organizations, fostering knowledge-sharing and driving industry progress towards decarbonization.

We extend our gratulation and are proud to have Paul actively involved in the FOREST project. 🤝

Thank you to our incredible partners at BITREZ for championing our project in such a remarkable way. Together, we're shaping a more sustainable future! 🌳🌍
