FOREST Final APF Working Group Workshop

The FOREST project organised its final Advisory Policy Framework (APF) Working Group Workshop on 18 May 2026. The workshop was designed to support the final review of the FOREST Policy and Standardisation Recommendations, developed as part of the project’s policy and standardisation activities.

The recommendations build on consortium activities, industrial perspectives and APF Working Group discussions. They address key regulatory barriers and priority policy areas related to REACH, standardisation, circularity, and the Digital Product Passport under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).

The workshop was organised to address future implementation pathways for sustainable multifunctional biocomposites, including industrial uptake, certification and standardisation gaps, recycling frameworks, and policy actions needed to support market deployment.

The session formed part of the project’s efforts to align policy recommendations with practical implementation challenges and future industrial needs.
