M36 General Assembly Meeting

The FOREST project consortium successfully concluded its two-day meeting, marking a significant milestone as the EU-funded initiative approaches its final phase. The meeting brought together project partners to review progress, assess demonstrator status, and strategically plan for the project's legacy and impact beyond its funding period.

FOREST team met on 26.–27. November in Istanbul at Mercedes-Benz Türk. Consortium shared comprehensive updates and led discussion on the status of project demonstrators, showcasing the technological advancements achieved in sustainable composite materials. The meeting dedicated substantial time to the Advisory Policy Working Group, which provides valuable guidance on regulatory frameworks and policy considerations relevant to the project's innovations. This strategic advisory function ensures that FOREST's outcomes align with current and emerging policy landscapes across Europe.

One of the meeting highlights was the deepening collaboration with a complementary cluster projectr-LightBioCom. This synergy between projects enables knowledge exchange, maximizes research impact, and creates stronger pathways for innovation dissemination across the sustainable materials sector.

Planning for FOREST's final event at JEC World has reached an advanced stage. The project has secured two speaking slots at this prestigious international event, providing high-visibility opportunities to present project outcomes to industry stakeholders, researchers, and potential adopters. Additionally, consortium members are preparing an engaging surprise element at one partner's booth, designed to showcase the project's innovations in an interactive format.

The consortium reported significant progress in scientific dissemination, with multiple articles currently submitted to peer-reviewed journals. These publications will ensure that FOREST's research findings reach the broader scientific community and contribute to the academic knowledge base in sustainable composite materials and circular economy applications.

Recognizing that project impact extends well beyond the funding period, the consortium dedicated substantial attention to finalizing the exploitation plan. This strategic document outlines pathways for commercialization, technology transfer, and continued development of project innovations. The exploitation plan is crucial for ensuring that FOREST's results translate into real-world applications and contribute to the European Green Deal objectives long after the project's formal conclusion.
