Our Partners Publish in Journal on Carbon Fiber Recycling
We are proud to share that a new research paper co-authored by our FOREST partners from Mercedes-Benz Türk — Okan Otuz, Hasancan Öztürk, and İbrahim Halil Kalkan — has been published in the respected scientific volume Cutting-Edge Advances in Nanofibers and Fibers: Shaping Future Applications.
The article, titled "Recycling of Carbon Fibers: A Circular Economy Perspective", delves into the growing importance of sustainable practices in the carbon fiber industry. As carbon fibers become increasingly prevalent due to their strength and lightweight nature, concerns about their environmental impact are rising. This publication examines how recycled carbon fibres can play a pivotal role in reducing carbon emissions, saving energy, and building sustainable supply chains.
By addressing both environmental and social aspects of carbon fiber recycling, the authors emphasise the transformative potential of circular economy approaches in advancing greener, more responsible technologies.
